Sculpted detail of the Royal Portal of the Cathedral of Chartres, showing a central scene with a seated figure and figures in low relief. The reverse bears a handwritten French correspondence addressed to a recipient in Ventsbouff, with a note indicating that the writing should be done on the side reserved for correspondence.
