Description

Relief sculpture of the Crucifixion in the Chartres Cathedral, work by Simon Mazières dated 1714. The composition shows Mary seated, contemplating the body of Jesus dead on her knees, surrounded by dramatic figures. The publisher G. Foucault of Dreux published this postcard in 1906, with clear typography and a symmetrical composition.
