Description

Postcard showing the Gothic façade of the Reims cathedral, with an inset illustration of the cathedral on fire. Printed text summarizes its history: rebuilt in the 9th century, destroyed in 1211, reconstructed and completed in 1242, destroyed by the Germans in 1914. Reverse: 10-centime stamp, postmark from Amiens dated 10-13-14, address to Madame Paypandeau at Les Brouzils, Vendeé, with a receipt postmark dated 20-16-14.
