View of Fort Saint-Pierre in Catté, with waves crashing violently against a retaining wall. At the bottom, an inscription indicating 'Magasins Modernes, rue de l'Esplanade, Catté'. Reverse: handwritten text addressed to Mr. Peanacellier in Saint-Mandé, with a 18-centime French postage stamp and a cancellation mark from Catté dated August 18, 1927.
