Description

View of the Croix du Nivolet in Chambéry, erected in 1862 by Count Fernex de Mongex, at an altitude of 1546 m. Poetic text printed on the front evokes its splendor under the sun. Reverse: handwritten address to M. Gourne in Paris, with a 5-centime green postage stamp and cancellation 'CHAMBERY 17 JUILLET 1884'.
