View of the southern facade of the Chambord Castle, a Renaissance building begun in 1515 by François I and modified under several reigns. The reverse details its history, its dimensions (160m x 120m), its 140 rooms and its carved terraces, mentioning also the modifications under Louis XIV and Napoleon. Printed text in French, with handwritten writing '44' at the bottom left.
