Description

Black-and-white panoramic view of the village of Chamonix at the foot of Mont Blanc, with snow-capped mountains in the background. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated August 15, 1953, sent from Chamonix to Guesan (Ville Tijemana), with a 12-franc stamp and a Chamonix postmark. The publisher is mentioned at the bottom right.
