Panoramic view of the Mer de Glace glacier stretching between snow-capped mountains, with the Hotel du Montenvers visible at the bottom right. The reverse has a handwritten inscription 'Bons jours de la mer de glace' and an address to M. Mannier in Paris, accompanied by two 5-centime stamps and a circular cancellation from the Hotel du Montenvers.
