Black and white panoramic view of the Mer de Glace glacier, with a tourist train below and snow-capped mountains in the background. On the reverse, a postcard dated July 12, 1954, sent from Chamonix-Mont-Blanc to Abbé Boudard in Charleville-Mézières, with a 12-franc stamp and handwritten text mentioning a rare insect souvenir called 'Acalaphe Barivole'.
