Scene of crossing the Chamonix glacier with several people equipped for hiking. Printed text at the bottom: 'CHAMONIX - CROSSING THE MER DE GLACE'. On the reverse, a handwritten letter is addressed to 'M. Renauld, 160, Rue de Chavanchon, Poitiers', with two green stamps and a postmark from 'NEUVILLE (Switzerland) 1914'.
