Scene of departure on the beach of Isle of Oléron, where a group of oyster fishermen and women, dressed in work clothes and wearing hats, walk into the water. Printed text at the top: 'Departure of Oyster Fishermen and Women for the Concessions'. Reverse: handwritten address to Madame Hemars in Saint-Malo, with the sender's signature 'M. Bruicault'. Two green Pasteur stamps (15c and 10c) affixed at the top right, canceled.
