Description

Engraved portrait of Charles VIII, King of France, with printed text summarizing his life: born and died at the Château d'Amboise, son of Louis XI and Charlotte of Savoy, ascended the throne at thirteen, married Anne of Brittany, wished to conquer Naples, defeated the Confederates at Fornoue, and died without completing his conquest plans, breaking his head at the Château d'Amboise. Reverse: blank postcard with correspondence areas and address, marked 'A' in the top left corner.
