Black and white view of the Grand Portal of Chartres Cathedral, adorned with complex Gothic sculptures and three monumental doors. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated 10.3.43, addressed to Maximin Georges Ming in Paris, with a 1.20 franc postage stamp and a cancellation mark from Chartres.
