Description

View of the Porte Guillaume in Chartres, built in the 7th century by Guillaume de Ferrières, on the old keep. The first floor housed the chapel of Saint-Fiacre and Saint-Pantaléon founded in 1250, which was burned down in 1856. On the reverse, a stamp and postmark from Chartres (Eure-et-Loir) dated September 17, 1916, addressed to Phailly (Oise).
