Black and white view of the south portal of Chartres Cathedral, showing its two Gothic towers and central rose window. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated August 29, 1953, addressed to Mrs. Éliane Vetschneider in La Hérie-la-Viellelle, with a 12-centime postage stamp and a cancellation mark 'LE HÉRIE'.
