Stone statue of the Virgin seated on a throne, holding the Child Jesus, with the inscription 'VIRGINI PAPITURA' on the pedestal. Reverse: postcard sent from Chartres, with a stamp and postmark dated 14 V 51, addressed to Mlle Agnes Cardeney in Saint-Opatien (Beine et Oise), with printed text 'CHARTRES - The Underground Cathedral of Notre-Dame'.
