Black and white view of the main facade of Chartres Cathedral, showing its two Gothic towers and central rose window. On the reverse, a handwritten letter addressed to 'Dear Hanière' in Chobbes, dated October 19, 1955, with a 12-centime stamp and a postmark from Chartres. The publisher J. Dolbeau is mentioned at the bottom left.
