Description

View of the William Gate in Chartres, built in the 13th century on the site of an ancient fortress tower. The printed text indicates that the Saint Pantaleon chapel still existed in the 17th century. On the reverse, correspondence dated May 26, 1920 addressed to Maurice Pierre Gigout in Sainte-Émilion, with a postmark and cancellation 'EURE ET LOIR'.
