View of La Porte Guillaume in Chartres, with a rider in the centre and buildings with signs 'TABAC' and 'BUVETTE'. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated July 1923, addressed to Madame Leveiller in Paris, mentioning a trip to Chartres and Orléans. Postmark and cancellation visible.
