Description

Pictorial view of a canal lined with old houses and a bridge, with the silhouette of a Gothic cathedral in the background under cloudy skies. The reverse indicates the publisher 'ÉDITIONS D’ART YVON', an address in Paris, and a handwritten address to Madame A. d’Auberillies at La Courseuve. A 20-centime postmark is affixed with a 'CHARTRES' cancellation dated May 16, 1938.
