View of the House of the Salmon in Chartres, a half-timbered house dating from the 15th century, with mullioned windows and a slate roof. On the reverse, a handwritten letter addressed to Jacqueline, with a 1 franc 20 postage stamp from the General de Gaulle series, sent to Mrs. J. Méliot in Enghien-les-Bains.
