Description

View of the Château d'Amboise with printed text recalling its annexation in 1434 by Charles VII, its occupation by Louis XI and Charles VIII, the massacre of Protestants in 1560, and its return to the Orleans family in 1872. Reverse: postcard dated 19-1-1918, addressed to Madame J. Laurent in Rennes, with a handwritten letter in English and a green 1918 stamp canceled in Montaigne.
