Black and white view of the medieval Bourbon-L'Archambault Castle, with its round stone towers and bare trees in the foreground. The reverse details the history of the castle: original fortress from the 12th century, expanded in the 13th century to house a thorn of the Crown of Christ and a fragment of the True Cross brought back by Saint Louis, then besieged by the English in the 14th century and abandoned in the 16th century. The publisher is the City Hall of Vichy.
