Description

Black and white view of the Château de Chantelle, a fortified building on a hill surrounded by vegetation. The reverse details its history: built in the 7th century by the Duke of Aquitaine, besieged in 761, reconquered in the 11th century, restored in the 16th century, and partially demolished by Richelieu, leaving a single tower. The publisher is the City Hall of Vichy.
