Interior view of the Guard Room of the Château de Compiègne, decorated with coffered ceilings, chandeliers, and wall decorations. The reverse features a handwritten address to Mademoiselle Blanche Gérard in Villers-Cotterêts (Aisne), an inscription 'Bonjou à tous Jeanney', and a 55-centime postmark canceled in Villers-Cotterêts on 22-9.
