View of the Bear Castle in Néris-les-Bains, on a rocky promontory, with a rolling landscape in the background. The back has a handwritten letter dated August 31, addressed to 'Chérie', mentioning a departure for Clermont-Ferrand and a promise of news. The address is for Marguerite Desais in Clermont-Ferrand, with a 10 centime stamp and two cancellations: 'NÉRIS-LES-BAINS' and 'CLERMONT-FERRAND 17 SEP 31'.
