Description

View of Maintenon Castle, north side, with inscription indicating its construction started by Philippe-Auguste, then developed by Jean Cottereau in the 15th century and sold to Madame Maintenon in 1674. Reverse: handwritten address to Madame and Monsieur Saplain in Bergniers (Aisne), with a 5-cent postage stamp and a circular postmark from 1920.
