Black and white view of the cascades of Vaux-le-Vicomte Castle, built between 1656 and 1661, with a statue of a winged horse in the foreground and a series of fountains in the background. Reverse: printed text indicating the construction date and the publisher 'E. Frignon', a handwritten letter addressed to Madame F. Béney in Salon-de-Provence, and a 5-centime French postage stamp canceled in Saint-Flour.
