Description

View of the Ville castle in Oise, severely damaged by the battles of World War I, with collapsed walls and rubble in the foreground. The reverse side features a handwritten letter dated September 29, 1918, addressed to Mr. and Mrs. Chastagnol, and an address to Mr. Trefred and Mrs. Urbain in Reims. The stamp and postmark are visible at the bottom right.
