View of the Langeais Castle, built in the 15th century, showing its east facade with its round towers and medieval architecture. The back shows a handwritten letter addressed to 'My Sister Pauline' in Saint-Dominique, with a mention of 'Do you think I am dead?' and an address in Paris. A 15-centime stamp is affixed with a cancellation of 'COUVINE BARRE 10' dated 1908.
