View of the medieval castle of Chaumont in Haute-Marne, with its keep overlooking the city rooftops. Printed text on the front identifies the location and publisher. On the reverse, handwritten correspondence addressed to Marguerite Barberon in Paris, with a note of the date August 3, 1916, and a 5-centime postmark canceled in Chaumont.
