View of the Town Hall in Chaumont, a classical building with a clock and pediment, surrounded by pedestrians and lampposts on a paved square. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated December 2, 1917, addressed to a friend, mentioning departure for war and an incomplete address. Postmark and cancellation from Nancy visible.
