Description

View of Chenonceau Castle with its arch bridge over the Loire, dated 1932. Printed text indicates the castle was built in the 15th century by Thomas Bohier and Catherine Briconnet, and the bridge by Diane de Poitiers and Catherine de Médicis. Reverse: handwritten correspondence addressed to Mr. Joseph Cherval at Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval, dated March 30, 1932, with a 15-centime postmark and cancellation 'CHENONCEAU'.
