Description

View of Cherbourg Theatre, an imposing neo-classical building with an ornate façade and arched entrance, in front of which pedestrians and horse-drawn vehicles are passing. On the reverse, a handwritten letter addressed to Monsieur Santour, 'editor' of the School of Mechanics in Brest, with greeting: 'Hello dear friend from Cherbourg' and signature 'Achille Guryonar'. Green 5c stamp and postmark 'CHERBOURG' dated 11-12-1911.
