Equestrian statue of Napoleon I in Cherbourg, with an engraved inscription on the pedestal: « I had resolved to renew in Cherbourg, the wonders of Egypt ». Front shows a green 5c Republic of France stamp. Back: handwritten correspondence addressed to Mrs. Bernard in Paris, with a postmark from Cherbourg dated 27 May 1918.
