View of the ruins of the fortress castle of Chevreuse, with a stone tower and a partially collapsed wall, dating from the construction in 975 and destroyed in 1624. In the foreground, a woman and two children are sitting on a bench. The reverse has a handwritten address to Mme Rose Moreau in Villiers-le-Mann, a 5-centime postal stamp, and a cancellation stamp from Saint-Marin (Seine-et-Oise) dated May 30, 1912.
