Description

Black and white view of the Middle Castle in Chinon, with its medieval ruins overlooking the Loire. Printed text at the bottom indicates the period (13th–15th century) and status (Mon. hist.). Reverse: handwritten text dated September 2, 1928, sent from Chinon to Madame Rougier in La Bronche, with a violet 40-centime stamp and a postmark from Chinon.
