Black and white view of the Citadel of Fouras, with its stone towers and ramparts, by the side of a watercourse. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated September 28, addressed to a 'dear Miss,' mentioning memories of Paris and promises of reunion. The stamp and cancellation are partially visible.
