Description

Black-and-white panoramic view of the medieval city of Carcassonne, with its characteristic ramparts and towers overlooking a hilly landscape. The reverse side bears a handwritten letter addressed to Madame M. Embray in Carcassonne, with a 50-centime violet postage stamp and two obliterations: one from Carcassonne (12-9-1945) and one from Lunel (17-9-1945).
