Black and white view of a medieval stone portal, with an inscription above the tympanum. The reverse indicates the publisher 'Éditions Arlaud - Altimasse', an address in Paris, and a 8 franc postage stamp dated June 1st, 1952. The handwritten inscription specifies: 'Cité de PEROUGES (Ain). 3. The lower gate and inscription of the siege of 1458.'
