Description

Historical view of Clermont-en-Argonne with printed text describing its status as the capital of a county ceded to France in 1654, then to the House of Condé in 1659, and the nullity of the cession by the National Assembly in 1791. Back: 5-centime green postage stamp, postmark from Neufchâteau (Vosges) dated 12/10/1945, address to Madame Fluret in Bogy, and handwritten inscription 'Bien affectueux souvenirs / L. Choiseau'.
