View of the entrance to the military camp of Gravanches in Clermont-Ferrand, with its massive wooden gates and several soldiers in uniform. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated 22 March 1917 addressed to a woman, mentioning the postcard and the snowy conditions. The publisher is G. d'O. and the stamp is a French postage stamp from 1917.
