Description

View of the Fontaine d'Amboise in Clermont-Ferrand, a stone fountain adorned with sculptures and located in the middle of a wooded park. The reverse indicates that it was built from Volvic lava in 1515 by Jacques d'Amboise, Bishop of Clermont, and later moved in 1855 to the Sablon street. The address is intended for Madame Antoinette Berne in Paris, with a 4 franc postage stamp and a cancellation from Clermont-Ferrand dated August 26, 1929.
