Postcard depicting the large bell of the Notre-Dame de la Garde basilica in Marseille, founded in 1845 by the Morel house of Lyon and blessed on October 5, 1845. The reverse indicates a special edition of the basilica with a postal stamp and partial postmark. Printed text on the front provides the dimensions (2 m 40 in diameter, 2 m 50 in height) and weight (8,234 kg for the bell, 387 kg for the clapper).
