Description

Illustration of a large ornate bell, founded by the Morel family of Lyon and blessed by Bishop Eugène de Mazenod on 5 October 1845, on Saint-Michel Square. Printed text indicates the dimensions (2 m. 40 in diameter) and the weight (8.234 kg). On the reverse, handwritten correspondence addressed to Mr. Maurel Bernardin in Doubs, with a 25c stamp and two Marseille cancellations dated 3 and 6 September 1855.
