Description

Interior view of the cloister of the Douaumont Ossuary, with its stone cells where the soldiers rest. Printed text on the back explains that the tombs of the 52 sectors of the Verdun defense are grouped two by two, and that the stones from the pillars are offered to families or military groups to have the names engraved on them.
