Description

View of the Gothic facade of the Palace of Pope Gelasius in Cluny, with an ornate gallery featuring 19 twin windows and rose windows, dating from 1295–1308. Printed text mentions the history of Pope Gelasius II and his successor Calixtus II. Reverse: two 10-cent stamps, postmark from Cluny on April 17, 1926, address to Madame J. Lamaret in Dagneux via Montluel (Ain), and a handwritten affectionate message.
