View of the Saint-Mayeul Gate in Cluny, an ancient stone fortified gate with an arched passage. The reverse features a handwritten letter addressed to Madame J. Caron in Oberkampf, Paris, dated 1898, with a green 15-centime stamp and a Cluny postmark.
