Winter view of Combloux with the clock tower of a church and the Needles of Varens in the background, under a cloudy sky. The reverse side features a handwritten letter dated January 10, 1937, addressed to 'My dear Marie,' describing the arrival in Combloux after a long journey, the snow, the good sun, and the interest in the church and the Needles of Varens.
