Black and white view of the entrance to Royallieu Castle in Compiègne, framed by a row of bare trees. The printed text at the bottom indicates the publisher 'Decella, Campiègue'. On the reverse, a handwritten letter addressed to Madame Priancon in Paris, with a blue 25-centime stamp and a postmark from Compiègne dated October 29, 1945.
